Responsibilities :

  • Maximising sales for all stores in NCR and Ahmedabad


Strategy

  • Develop strategies to raise customers pool, expand store traffic and optimize profitability while maintaining the Company’s vision and identity
  • Prepare regular budgets; analyze variances; initiate corrective actions
  • Maintain awareness of market trends in the industry and monitoring what competitors are doing
  • Ensure sales growth without compromising profitability

Products

  • Identify new products to be introduced
  • Identify product sales velocity and analyse reasons for the same
  • Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
  • Ensure availability of merchandise
  • Assist in decision making around pricing strategy
  • Identify packaging needs and communicate immediately to HQ

Customers

  • Ensure that customer always has the best experience through quality of products, store standards, staff behavior and service quality

Staff

  • Maintain store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching and disciplining employees
  • Provide regular training to improve the knowledge base of the staff about the company's goals, visual merchandising directives and product knowledge
  • Ensure that staff is adhering to grooming, communication and behavioural standards
  • Shift scheduling to ensure high quality customer experience time-of-the-day peak and annual peaks

Promotion

  • Market merchandise through advertising, sales promotion and display activities
  • Develop innovative ideas for store displays and product displays
  • Develop a schedule of holiday activities and promotions throughout the year strategically designed to bring in more revenue
  • Work with vendors and manufacturers to bring in effective marketing displays
  • Promote the organization locally by liaising with local community and media

Data

  • Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits etc.
  • Maintain and regularly analyse the store performance through data and present to senior management the key conclusions and resultant action items
  • Work closely with data team to capture new datapoints

Bulk sales

  • Formulate strategy for promoting bulk sales during festivals, weddings, occasions
  • Formulate strategy for corporate sales during festivals and occasions
  • Achieve significant share of sales from bulk orders through suitable communication, marketing and sales initiatives

Strategy & Process

  • Develop processes to ensure overall operations efficiency with respect to inventory, freight, warehouse space and all other aspects of supply chain
  • Plan in advance for the warehousing, inventory and transportation requirements for the new products that are constantly being introduced
  • Plan in advance for large volumes during festive season
  • Maintain awareness of latest supply chain trends in the industry
  • Spend time in stores with sales teams and customers to understand and identify business critical issues in order to ensure the alignment of tactics and strategies

Warehouse

  • Driving end to end warehouse operations including inbound, inventory management, outbound and returns
  • Driving cost control measures and process improvement initiatives for all the warehouses under control
  • Designing and maintaining warehouse KPIs and metrics aimed at improving the overall efficiency
  • Ensuring adherence with applicable licenses and regulations
  • Identify location for new warehouses to accommodate future growth

Inventory

  • Procurement & replenishment analysis & review of products as well as packaging inventory at the warehouse as well as at stores
  • Ensure accurate monthly reporting around inventory, out of stock, lead times, fill rates etc.
  • Minimise shrinkage and ensure nil stock-out at stores

Logistics

  • Handle in-bound as well as outbound logistics
  • Develop SLAs with transporters and ensure regular monitoring of the performance
  • Coordinate with transporters to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery
  • Coordinate with aggregators to fulfill app orders
  • Constantly explore cost efficiencies in the transport chain
  • Plan and handle transportation requirements around festive season sales
  • Gradually develop an owned fleet for critical transportation requirements

Staff

  • Management of ~100 warehouse employees (on-roll and off-roll) including planning, budgeting, recruitment, performance assessment and handling all employee grievances
  • Provide regular training to improve the skillset and efficiency of the warehouse staff
  • Ensure that staff is adhering to hygiene standards and minimize wastage and shrinkage
  • Shift scheduling to ensure peak operational efficiency

Data

  • Prepare regular reports on the warehouse operations capturing key KPIs
  • Work closely with the data team to provide relevant information

Bulk sales

  • Plan for and handle significant increase in volumes during festive season
  • Fulfillment of bulk orders generated by corporate sales team

  • Develop a state wise and category wise database of renowned vendors and items

  • Produce content for website and app for the most iconic new vendors / products
  • Work with vendors to improve suitability of products for the FoodMemories platform

Packaging

  • Identify packaging needs for existing and new products and develop innovative solutions to ensure FoodMemories branding for each product
  • Develop suitable visual and written content for packaging

White label / Co-branded products

  • Identify products / cateogires well suited for white labeling / co-branding
  • Develop strategy to introduce white label products
  • Work with select vendors to develop co-branded products

Content, promotion and social media

  • Produce content for website and app for the most iconic new vendors / products
  • Produce content for promotional activities associated with specific states / vendors / products
  • Products festivals and occasion specific content for select products / vendors
  • Work with vendors to coordinate promotional activities on social media platforms

  • Computation of monthly management accounts

  • Computation of trade accruals, inventory and other accounts
  • Liaison for any queries related to external audit

Fund raising and Investor relations

  • Assist in due diligence exercise during fund raises
  • Maintain the company financial model
  • Prepare quarterly financial update reports for investors

Reporting

  • Assist in preparation of Company’s business plan
  • Prepare and maintain reports on various financial aspects of the business viz. working capital efficiency, profitability etc, cost base etc and assist senior management in driving efficiencies in the business.
