Karadantu, which means fried-edible gum in Kannada is a sweet delicacy unique to the state of Karnataka. Earlier a luxury of only the rich, Sadanand Sweets reworked their own magic on this delicacy to make it available to the masses. It is made of edible gum mixed with the choicest dry fruits and has a chewy texture. Other ingredients include Bengal gram flour, jaggery and seeds of marking-nuts (Semecarpus anacardium) tree.
