1. What is foodmemories?
We are an online marketplace dedicated to bring India’s choicest and finest food items onto your table. Choicest sweets, snacks, staples and condiments is now just a click away via FoodMemories.
2. How do we work?
We serve a link between the vendors and customers. When an order is placed via FoodMemories, the request is directly sent to the respective food vendor where the order is made ready and packed fresh and delicious to reach out to you at the earliest. Your chosen foods are packed and shipped directly from the food vendor’s outlet to your desired location.
Products and Packaging
1. What kind of products do you sell?
We have partnered with India’s trusted food brands with an established taste record. Quality assured and fresh foods from reputed and regional brands are broadly categorized and sold under 6 categories on FoodMemories namely: snacks, sweets, staples & condiments, health food, premium category and bakery & chocolates.
2. How will the products be packaged?
The products will contain a double layer packaging to ensure delivery of food items is in an appropriate condition. Primary packaging will be done by the food vendor and a sturdy secondary packaging will be done by FoodMemories.
3. How fresh will the product be on delivery?
The freshness of the products is one of our top priorities and hence, we work with our vendors to ensure that the freshest products are packed for delivery. We work towards providing you the maximum possible shelf life of the products so that you have enough time to consume and savour them after you receive it.
Ordering
1. How do I register and get started?
Registering at FoodMemories is quick and hassle free. Just sign-up with your e-mail address and create a password. You can complete your profile with the necessary details at your own convenience. Once your e-mail address is verified, you can start browsing and ordering delicious foods from FoodMemories.
2. Can I order without being registered?
Yes, you can! However, you will need to provide appropriate credentials to enable us to deliver your orders correctly. Hence, it is always advisable to signup with us as it makes your purchases faster and easier.
3. Can I order from multiple vendors? If so, how will the orders be delivered to me?
You may choose to order from multiple vendors pan India. All the products will be packed individually from the respective brands in their own packaging, followed by our packaging to be finally delivered to your chosen address. The orders will reach you individually depending on the shipping by individual vendors. (Just so that you receive the order fresh and at the earliest)
4. How will my order be delivered and how long does it take for my order to get delivered?
Orders are processed directly from the food vendor’s outlet and picked and delivered at your doorstep. Our delivery partners strive to deliver products timely. Most orders are delivered within 2 to 5 working days. However, the delivery timings may vary depending on a number of factors like national holidays, festivals, weather, unforeseen events, traffic conditions and other special events under which circumstances we are not responsible for any delay caused.
5. Can I track status of my order?
Yes, you can track your order once we provide you with a reference bill number. You can do so by visiting the website of the courier service through which your order has been sent. Also, we’ll provide timely status updates about your order on our website as well. You just need to login and go to ‘Track Your Order’. At every stage of the order execution, from the point the order is placed, ready for shipment and shipped and finally delivered, an intimation will be given to the user at their registered e-mail and mobile number.
6. Are all products eligible for export?
A major part of our product range is eligible for exports, depending on their form and shelf life. However, the Pickles & Sauces, Jams & Spreads, Honey and Sharbats are not eligible for export owing to various reasons and policies.
7. What is the minimum order value for products eligible for export?
A minimum of 2.5kgs of order from a single vendor is eligible for export. (please note that a total of 2.5kgs of order from multiple vendors is not eligible for export)
Payment
1. How is the total charge calculated?
At FoodMemories, all food items are sold at their Maximum Retail Price (MRP). However, a delivery charge as applicable on respective locations is also added to the total bill. (delivery charge is to the borne by the customer)
2. What are the modes of payment?
You can pay for your orders via net-banking, debit/credit cards via paytm wallet and CC avenue payment gateway.
Cancellations
1. Can I make changes/ amend the orders in the cart?
You can make changes in the order in the cart before confirming it. However, once you confirm the order and the automatic confirmation mail is shot out from our system, you will not be able to make amends in the order. Furthermore, the order cannot be cancelled once it has been processed by the vendor or picked up by the delivery agent. Everytime you place an order from multiple vendors, you’ll receive individual confirmation mails from each vendor about the product being ready for dispatch. You can cancel the order until you receive this confirmation e-mail.
2. Will my money be refunded if I choose to cancel an order? If so, how will I be compensated and in what time?
If in case for some reason you wish to cancel your order, FoodMemories will allow cancellation only if the order has already not been acted upon by the vendor and/or the product has not already been shipped. If you cancel the order before that, we will refund you the entire amount. You will receive the refund through the same method of payment within 10 working days from the date of order cancellation. However, once the order is shipped (i.e. either produced by the vendor or handed over to the delivery agent), we will not be able to accept your cancellation request. We request you to appreciate the fact that these are specialty food products and the loss of shelf life/transit damage will render them unsuitable for consumption or resale and hence, we will not be able to accept cancellation or return requests.

Returns and Refund
1. What if I receive the order in damaged condition?
It is our constant endeavor to provide you the freshest and finest quality products. However, if you receive a product where the packaging is in a bad condition, tampered or damaged; we request you to refuse to accept the product and return the package to the delivery person.
2. If I have received the order in damaged condition, can I demand refund though I have accepted the shipment?
While we strongly advise you not to accept any package with damaged packaging, in case you choose to
accept it, you are requested to intimate us within 12 hours. Please call our customer care at +91 74870-12345 and email us at support@foodmemories.com mentioning your Order ID, pictures of the damaged /tampered package and individual pictures of the boxes. Our team will forward your compliant to the product vendor and the courier service provider. If the claim is found to be genuine as determined by us, the product vendor and the courier service provider, FoodMemories will ensure that a suitable compensation is given to you at no additional cost. However, digital evidence of the damage / tampering is a must for such claims to be successful.
